- Cause of Tinnitus
- Neck/Jaw misalignment
Had tinnitus for the last eight years, caused by neck and jaw issues. I would describe it as moderate, with about ten almost silent days a month, ten medium days that are tolerable, and ten days when it becomes annoying and feels like it's in my head.
I've also had a compression fracture in my lower back for years, which hadn't really bothered me until recently. Over the past month, the fracture has started acting up, and my tinnitus has been worse for the last two weeks. Could it be that the compression fracture has worsened and is now irritating a nerve, making the tinnitus worse?
As I mentioned, my tinnitus originates from neck and jaw issues. It seems muscular, and I suspect the muscles may have pulled or rotated my C1/C2 vertebrae out of alignment. I have pain on the left side of my neck, which is the same side as the old lower left back compression fracture. Could it be possible that the fracture has shifted downward and pulled the vertebrae along with it? I've tried everything for my neck, and while it has improved, it still hasn't returned to normal.
