Unexpected Loud Fire Alarm System 2 Meters (6.5 Feet) from Me

Hello, these loud sounds seem to specifically follow me, knowing that I'm afraid of them. Sod's Law.

Today I stood in line at the cafe, in general, in a good mood. Suddenly, for some reason, a loud fire alarm sounded right above my head. I was 2-3 meters (6.5-9 feet) from the fire alarm. This sound is very annoying. I hastened to run away, but I was exposed to this noise for 10-15 seconds.

It spoiled my mood. Do you think this is dangerous? Have you experienced similar situations?

PS. In addition, the food in this cafe was tasteless and poignant, I was left hungry.
