I have somatic tinnitus and moderate hearing loss both, more severe loss over 8 Khz. I can hear close enough to my high frequency tinnitus tone that I'm able to initiate residual inhibition with high frequency tones (short interval beeps) from some tinnitus videos. So that gives me hope I would get some benefit from the Shore / Auricle device.

it’s often compared to sitting in a quiet kitchen and hearing the refrigerator running. You aren’t bothered by the refrigerator running so you shouldn’t be bothered by this. same thing or so they say. The problem is my head hurts like a bitch right now, it wasn’t really painful january to march. i wonder why? nothing changed. last summer it was bad pain though.

@Juliane Staying off benzos long term will help with any recovery due to any worsening specifically caused by benzos. I mean T in general gets worse over time for someone, whether they used benzos or not. So some recovery could be offset by that.

Maybe prednisone if you just very recently had noise trauma. Otherwise, just something for anxiety maybe and refer you to an ENT that you might get in several months down the road, who will refer you to an audiologist after some expensive tests that won't help.

I also find the fleeting T pleasant and in a sick way, a relief from the hissing/clicking/crackling I get. It’s a soft weeze. I had mild ringing in my left ear yesterday that was a relief to the other sounds my right ear makes. I could easily ignore the mild ring and it vanished this morning.

People are dying in emerg romms, cannot get in to see specialists, people are going overseas for surgeries and paying due to long wait times, no innovation etc and not everything is “free” You also can’t get a hold of anyone when you call clinics

loud ringing in right ear, ringing in left ear that i am able to mask, but then i have fleeting T often where i get very loud blasts of ringing cutting in and out. While wearing earplugs i also have a morse code T, so it must be very quiet. If gets a lot worse after any loud noise exposure or stress. I can usually deal with it but i have stretches where i have tons of pain and pressure and it sucks. how is your T?

On and off throughout the entire day with a sharp hiss mixed in here and there. On other days I have a non specific shrill sound mainly on my right side that radiates into my head its like a stringy, high pitched white noises.
