Thanks for your comment. I shouldn't have used was. I continue and will always continue to take care. Noisy areas are still a no go and I continue sticking to other adjustments I made (absolutely no headphones, healthier lifestyle etc. etc.)

took about 4 months to see some improvement. No noisy areas and sensible use of earplugs was a must. Now Hyperacusis bugs me rarely and I am going through my 6th month.

Just as an update: did an audiogram yesterday, nothing changed from 6 years ago except for an obvious hyperacusis in my right ear (-10 db at 6 kHz+8kHz):cautious:. Regardless of that I am pretty sure that my H has improved since the spike's onset, and hopefully, it will reach its normal...
