Younger Brother Set an Air Horn Off Near My Head → Tinnitus Worse After Years of Being Manageable

Hey everyone, It's been a few years since I last posted here but here I am again! My tinnitus became totally manageable after a few weeks to months of worry back when I had too many Ibuprofen while working at Amazon. Well, I was out visiting my dad and doing some work on his property when my...

    Eddy Temple Morris

@Jazzer there are people like me who read but don't dare to post because of wanting to avoid confrontations with people like you. I saw you attack emmalee, jcb and martin69 who used to be your friends but who you threw to the wolves when they didn't meet your criteria for real suffering. It...

    Stopped

I listen to headphones regularly with breaks every 20-30 minutes and my T has stayed at the same improved level since I first experienced reduction.

Tinnitus and Recreational Drugs — Advice?

Sometimes weed spikes my T, sometimes it doesn't. I think it has to do with how I smoke. If I take in a harsh hit that irritates my sinuses/eustachian tubes, it probably causes inflammation that increases the T. If I take chlorotabs before I smoke, the increase is negligible if it's even there...

Does Anyone Know Why HCl Helps?

No, google nasal spray use for eustachian tubes.

Does Anyone Know Why HCl Helps?

Bleach is an anti-inflammatory. Benadryl is also an allergy medication. Try some other antihistamines, maybe a nasal steroid spray aimed at your eustachian tubes.

Anyone Have Tinnitus in Their Head?

My tinnitus seems to be healing, but I've also habituated to hearing it. It only bothers me when it's accompanied by a sort of piercing, achey pain in my ears, and then it's the pain bothering me more than the noise.

Questions About Anti-Anxiety Drugs (How Long You Took Them, How Did You Wean Off, How Tough Was It?)

Kava can help with anxiety but I don't really recommend going off prescriptions without consulting a doctor.

Anyone Read/Hear About Tinnitus and Then Develop It?

I was marginally aware of hearing loss and tinnitus but I didn't think I'd ever develop long-term tinnitus, no. I just woke up with it one morning.

How Old Were You When Your Tinnitus Started?

High stress, loud music, working in a factory. I'm 21.

Has Anyone Habituated to Ultra High Frequency Tinnitus That Can't Be Masked?

I suppose I'm lucky in that my sound, while shrill and extremely piercing, is relatively silent and kinda dulls a little if I take something like Benadryl.

    Graduating High School with Tinnitus

It's pretty experimental, but it's shown some results with helping tinnitus and hearing damage if it's administered within 48-72 hours of the ringing starting, and showing (much, much rarer though) some help up to three weeks after it starts. There's also some natural healing that your body can...

    Graduating High School with Tinnitus

And even if the ringing doesn't cease completely, there's still the possibility of some healing taking place and causing it to become much less severe :)

Has Anyone Habituated to Ultra High Frequency Tinnitus That Can't Be Masked?

Mine came on suddenly a couple of nights after the possible worst/most stressful night of my life after being under constant stress and more severe than usual depression for a month leading up to it.

    Graduating High School with Tinnitus

It's possible that yours will heal up and cease being constant if you're careful about your noise exposure. Plenty of stories online (even if they're hard to find in all the horror ones) of people whose T healed up and went away after 1-4 months. I'd recommend getting prednisone, which seemed to...
