Yes Paul, I agree with you. What I'm saying is that those who manage to reach a stage where they report that T does no longer affect them have habituated. In the absence of a medial treatment to " turn it off" promoting habituation is perhaps the best way forward. Achieving it is the hard part!

Hi Emma, What you have described is what we call " habituation". When you achieve it its just the same as not hearing tinnitus. In effect a "cure" even though you still hear it. Best wishes, Clive

Yes Paavo. This is very common. The reason is thouught to be that your brain goes into acute listening mode while you are asleep and pays more attentin to the tinnitus. Are you using sound therapy while you are sleeping?
