Is this treatment really helpful and can it really stop tinnitus or atleast turn down the noise to very low levels?

Okay. I hope mine one gets better because I am hell scared right now

My age is just 19. I left eardrum has swollen since last 3 days and since yesterday evening, tinnitus has started. The noise is quite loud and its annoying! But my family doctor said this is a common thing it will go away within 3 days. Please give some suggestions. I don't want to live my life...
