The earliest I can remember having it was when I was six years old. I remember making my mom lean close to my ear to see if she could hear it. She couldn't and that was the end of it. She forgot and I became acclimated.
It is always present but there will be occasional changes in pitch and volume. I tend to fall asleep better with the television or radio in the background. Not sure what I would do if it were gone since I've never experienced total silence.Interact
