Tinnitus Spike After Dental Filling Replacement with Laser and Drilling

I used Peltor X5A earmuffs on my last visit. I think I am going to get an extraction for the second tooth that is hurting. At least if I get an implant in the future, that tooth would never need drilling again.

Tinnitus Spike After Dental Filling Replacement with Laser and Drilling

Another tooth is starting to hurt. It looks like I might need either a root canal or an extraction this time. The dentist says the tooth may be dying. I am having a hard time deciding which option to choose. A root canal would involve a lot of drilling, and since it is a molar, it would likely...

Tinnitus Spike After Dental Filling Replacement with Laser and Drilling

There are still no signs of improvement. I have some Prednisolone—19 pills at 20 mg each—but the expiration date is April 2021. I am unsure if they are still effective. Unfortunately, obtaining more from a doctor will not be easy. It seems to be just a spike. I am not noticing any changes in my...

Dental Drill or Dental Laser for Cavities: What's Best and Safest for Tinnitus Sufferers?

I chose earmuffs because of the oscillation effect. I wasn’t too sure—putting in earplugs seemed too risky, but going unprotected also felt unsafe. I chose the middle ground. Either way, I still got a nasty spike from just 30 seconds of drilling, so I don’t think it would have mattered.

Tinnitus Spike After Dental Filling Replacement with Laser and Drilling

The spike is still intense, and even the slightest thing seems to aggravate my tinnitus. It’s difficult to live with.

    Tinnitus Worse After Tooth Drilling

How are you doing now? I am also experiencing a spike after a visit to the dentist. There wasn’t much drilling — around 30 seconds in total, with 5-second pauses, using an electric drill. I wore earmuffs during the drilling, but I am not sure if that made things better or worse. The bone...

Tinnitus Spike After Dental Filling Replacement with Laser and Drilling

So, I just had my fillings replaced. The dentist was able to remove them with a laser, but some drilling—approximately 30 seconds to a minute—was still needed at the end. I asked him to use a five-seconds-on, five-seconds-off approach, and he followed that. He also used an electric drill, which...

On day 18 now after a loss of smell it's come back but still only at 50% Taste is almost back to normal I would say 80% fingers crossed it continues to improve

Did it affect your taste and smell?I lost like 60% smell and some taste ... I'm only on day 15 hoping it recovers, it's pretty scary stuff. I had some aggravations in some tinnitus tones but its probably from Tylenol not COVID

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection with Pre-Existing Tinnitus

I’ve lost my sense of smell for the last three days, and I’m very worried. I can’t smell anything, and I really hope the chances of getting it back are high. I don’t think I can handle both tinnitus and the loss of smell—it’s just too much for one person to bear.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection with Pre-Existing Tinnitus

After successfully avoiding coronavirus since the beginning, I finally caught it. So far, the symptoms have been the standard: fever, headache, sore throat, and dry cough. I haven’t noticed any changes in my tinnitus. I’m not vaccinated, so I’m slightly concerned that it might develop into...

Is Paxlovid (Ritonavir/Nirmatrelvir) Ototoxic? Can It Make Tinnitus Worse?

Are you feeling better now? Did you experience any long-term effects from COVID-19? I just tested positive two days ago. So far, I only have a headache and a fever of 38.5°C. The pharmacist mentioned that medication isn't usually prescribed for people under 65 or without pre-existing conditions...
