1. Just how deeply depressing, threatening and life destroying this condition is when you have elevated tinnitus loudness level. 2. Intratympanic steroid injections should be the first line treatment.

@Juan: no, there was never a big difference in bone and air conduction. I always heard the sounds from the bone conduction headset only in the unaffected ear.
