If you're looking for a noise machine, they have phone apps that play all kinds of noises from white noise to waterfalls or combinations. Easier, cheaper and portable. :)
Good luck. Hope all is well with everyone.
Good luck with the ENT. Prepare to be disappointed with what they have to say or lack of things to say. When mine first started years ago, I went to see 2 ENTs and both basically said sorry there's nothing they can do.
The best thing to do is to stay active and keep your mind busy. Support from...
Hang in there please! We're all here for you. I've had a bad spike with added sounds for more than a month now too. My phone noise apps work great and I can combine some of the noises together like a running stream/waterfall/white noise. Well wishes to you and others.
I hope things settle back down for you. Not sure what else you can do but wait it out maybe and definitely no more clubs or loud places. Give your ears time to rest. Good luck to you.
It's never easy adjusting to new sounds. I've got a bunch and lately it's been bothering me and affecting my sleep. I've had to raise the white noise volume by one click up on my ipod to help me drown them. When I lay down it seems I can hear my heartbeat but not when I'm standing. Wish I could...
My father in law has T and got it since his old Navy days. He's now 65 and although his hearing isn't the greatest, his T hasn't changed much---he said he just got used to it over the years.
Hi all. I recently came down with a severe case of the flu and my doctor prescribed me Tamiflu. I was wondering if anyone here had any bad reaction to it as far as their tinnitus goes. I haven't been able to find any direct links to the two. Thank you all.
I've had this fullness feeling for quite some time. I hate it but there's nothing I can do unless anyone has any ideas that worked. No ETD as far as I know.
Zorro is right. There's no sense in beating yourself up on how or what you did. There's no way of knowing whether it's leveled off or not. I'm in a similar situation. I actually woke up from my T half an hour ago. I was asleep then kind of woke up from a dream but was more awakened by the higher...
Had a fun weekend. We went to a Halloween party and had a great time. We even did some karaoke which worried me a little due that it gets a bit loud, but I had my plugs and even horribly sang a few songs along the way. :)
It's difficult to deal with this at times, especially when money is...
I'm in a similar position. I'm starting my job at UPS next Tuesday and although loading the trucks isn't as loud as other positions, it's not a quiet area. I'll be sure to wear ear plugs and hope for the best.
I'm still enjoying the positive messages and wonderful pics some have posted. Thank you all for keeping the positive spirit. I could certainly use some. :)
Weekends are best for me because I know I'll be out and about. That, for me, is the best relief I can get because it helps take my mind off of T. I used to love the night but now I get anxious when it's bed time. I'm a lot better now than before though. Excercise and eating better has helped me.
