I'm sorry to hear your story and experience....don't dis pair.over a period of time things will settle down and you will get more used to the tinnitus.it might well go over time.i have found that white noise generators worn either during the day or night can help the brain get used to the sound...

Because of my hyperacusis my ears alway react to dog barks at a particular level...,but whilst it makes my tinnitus worse for days etc it cannot damage the ears

Don't overthink things at the moment or think that your tinnitus won't settle down as it will....it may take time and you might need to put a white noise generator on temporarily ...as this settles the mind...the acoustic shock to the ears takes time to readjust...but you hearing itself won't be...

Don't worry about it....proberly a matter of differing air pressure...and it's all too easy the tune in to what your ears are doing whe you have T or H?...
