I started using Nortriptyline due to a cyst developed inside the roof of my mouth. I developed it 3 months after I developed H. Not sure whether it is in any way related to H. Mouth Dr has advised me to undergo operation which I have resisted until now

@twa I need to undergo an oral surgery. A cyst in the upper roof of my mouth needs to be removed. They will be sedating me. After that I will need to take antibiotics as well as pain killers. Did you too take either of these post your surgery? If yes, what was the impact on H/T ?

Still Alive and Doing Better! Hyperacusis and Pain Have Reduced by About 75%!

Yes, it has improved quite a bit. I’m not sure if it has completely gone, but it’s still much better. Passing emergency vehicles near my house no longer cause lasting palinacousis.

It was not at all loud. I also wore Mac ear plugs firmly inside. My LDL is somewhere in late 40s. It (my LDL) is my personal observation not something that I got formally tested

When you started working with music at a very low volume, did you experience palinacousis? I listened to music at the lowest volume for 2 minutes. And it's been close to 15 minutes after that, and it still hasn't completely left my head.

I No Longer Leave the House — Things Got Worse Overnight: Ear Pain and More Intense Tinnitus

I haven't tried Gabapentin yet. My experience with Nortriptyline hasn't been very good. I've experienced side effects like insomnia and a high heart rate, which haven't gone away even after six months. I started with 10 mg and, with great difficulty, have tapered down to 6.5 mg. I think it will...
