Yes. A single, prolonged acoustic trauma at a nightclub. I thought that this would only happen from repeated exposures, but as I know now, it can strike whenever the time and decibel variable pair are high enough (with individual susceptibility). I don't actually mind the T much anymore - I've habituated well - but I'm much more concerned with hearing loss (minimal now, but none of us are getting any younger!).
