This happens to me too. My doctor said it's because recent studies are showing that tinnitus might be created by the brain and not in the ears. The brain is funny thing - sometimes I don't see all colors when I first wake up and then they slowly "turn on".

The fullness in my ears is getting worse but I've found a way to temporarily clear it - I put hydrogen peroxide in the ear for 5 minutes (ENT knows I do this - not saying he recommends it but he was not phased when I told him). I used to have to do it once a week but now it's everyday -...
