Prednisone is just a corticosteroid. It stops inflammation. It has all sorts of side effects but I don't think going after support cells is one of them.

FWIW, I neither need nor expect complete silence. I'd love to just get back to where I was before getting screwed by Neomycin ear drops. I think reasonable expectations of just taking the edge off are helpful here.
I'm in California, each trip costs me $1k and my employer has an office in Dublin where I can drop in and work so it's not costing me PTO. I'd obviously rather not be spending money but it's worth the try.
Because I've begun the process of habituation. It's always there when I think about it but I now go for hours at a time without noticing it--including in environments where I used to notice it constantly.
Habituation is my cure. Lenire is just icing on the cake.
if that's the case they've either confirmed or disproved the hypothesis to the point where they didn't bother asking me about it in my initial appointment.
Hello from Dublin! I've just had the appointment and have been approved for the device (happy but not surprised thanks to all the great information people have posted in this thread).
