    SAGE Therapeutics — CNS Disorders

5 to 10 years IF things go well, of course, because it might also never happen 😉 Apparently it is. Although, given the very small number of participants, it might be considered an early Phase 2 or Phase 2a.

Tinnitus Gets Worse When Trying to Nap/Sleep

It depends. Usually, it does not change much. If I take a full nap cycle of about one to one and a half hours, it quiets down. If I nap for 40 minutes to an hour, there is no change. If I nap for less than that, it does get worse temporarily, but I avoid such short naps because I feel too tired...

Tinnitus Gets Worse When Trying to Nap/Sleep

I’m the exact opposite. My tinnitus is very quiet when I wake up, but it gets louder as the day goes on.

    SAGE Therapeutics — CNS Disorders

It might mean that, although more trials will certainly be needed. Ten participants with one adverse effect is not very strong evidence. More importantly, it opens the door for further research in two areas: The involvement of the GABA pathway in tinnitus The development of neurosteroids as...

I’m looking forward to the publication, and that seems like good news!

In need of a bit of advice : I'm weening off hearing protection at home, my hyperacusis is really settling down, but my tinnitus is getting worse. It gets so loud by just having simple conversations although it does not hurt my ears

Hello! I think the last time I took clonazepam was when I was hospitalized in June and couldn't sleep because I had bad tachycardia. Otherwise no, I don't really need it lately. But I keep pills in my bedside table just in case

Seven Months with Sound-Induced Tinnitus: Is Anyone Seeing Improvements or Finding Hope?

Yeah, I get it. I had that a lot too. Now I’ve accepted that it’s not going away, so I might as well live my life again. It’s hard to say because my tinnitus is not constant. I have five or six different tones, and they all come and go. The volume also changes, sometimes it’s very loud, and...

Ear Pressure and Pain After a Restroom Hand Dryer and Child Screaming

I know you’ve had this condition for a while, and that you know yourself better than anyone. But is there even the slightest chance that the radiating pain comes from clenching your jaw due to the stress that sounds cause?

Seven Months with Sound-Induced Tinnitus: Is Anyone Seeing Improvements or Finding Hope?

I got tinnitus about 1.5 years ago, and I started seeing the first signs of improvement after beginning Clonazepam, following 10 months of pure hell with loud tinnitus. Now, at 1.5 years, I still have it, but I have a lot of hope for the future, and it doesn’t bother me nearly as much anymore. I...

Is Your Tinnitus Quieter First Thing in the Morning?

Mine is often louder when I wake up, then it calms down within ten minutes to an hour after waking. If I wake up in the middle of the night, it can be extremely loud. I have TMJD, so that’s probably the reason why.

My Hearing Has Slightly Improved Since 2019

I have the same thing, and for me, I attribute it to a general lack of auditory input since I overprotect a lot. The more I panic about it, the more the sounds stick in my head. If you can, try to distract yourself from it, or gradually introduce a bit more background noise around you and see if...
