- Tinnitus Since:
- 2012
- Cause of Tinnitus:
- unknown but think it was loud claxton fire alarm bells
I can't remember when my tinnitus first started. I think it must have crept up on me. But I think it was from sitting directly underneath a banshee fire alarm. I had to leave the office as it was so loud that I thought my ears had burst and I was deaf for the rest of the day. Since then I have had audiology tests which showed I have hearing loss due to the tinnitus but I am not deaf. I am finding it increasingly hard to hear what people are saying when they are softly spoken and need the tv turned up more than I used to. Night time is real troublesome as I never have peace and quiet and when I wake up in the morning its is like a very loud clock ticking away.
I just wondered whether anyone else experiences this? I could sit and cry at the noise some times.Interact
