    Ear Pain Caused by Amoxicillin

I've had tinnitus for probably 6 years now. The majority of it was caused by a -mycin antibiotic. And in one ear a portion of it was caused by taking a puck to the ear over my helmet 2 years ago (loud). Lucky me. The -mycin aftermath also included some hyperacusis that lasted a few weeks but...

I Got Hit with a Puck to the Side of My Helmet — Caused Me More Tinnitus

Ya, I generally do when I do things like cut the grass, snowblow, movies, etc. Wearing the extra plug for driving and what not right now. Bertman has a good recommendation for earplugs that I want to get asap.

I Got Hit with a Puck to the Side of My Helmet — Caused Me More Tinnitus

I hope so. Its been a week. Still hanging around. If not, its only one ear, and its not worse than my other T (just a different tone). Seems to have settled on a volume for now so that's good. Starts out barely noticeable in the am, but ramps up during the day. Using an earplug for noisy...

I Got Hit with a Puck to the Side of My Helmet — Caused Me More Tinnitus

Thx, ya I have moments of anxiety (mostly because it increased volume so dramatically over a few days ... hopefully no more) but I have learned a lot from the first go around. So I'm throwing an ear plug in when i do noisy stuff, but otherwise I'm ok. I'm just trying to educate myself around...

I Got Hit with a Puck to the Side of My Helmet — Caused Me More Tinnitus

Well.... bummer. I first got mild Tinnitus years ago, but it was the sort of tinnitus that you would barely hear in a quiet room. Very easy to live with. Unknown how ( I think noise ). Then came 2016, when I received oxotoxic antibiotics. I'm sure you know how that goes ...... Anyways, a...

    Tinnitus from Biaxin (Antibiotic)

I actually somehow sleep better. I think because I'm a little ADHD and I tend to think to much in bed and that keeps me awake. Actually focusing in on the noise helps me sleep better. Weird right? Bugs me most in the evening, kids go to bed, I'm trying to think but can't have noise on...

    Recovery from Drug-Induced Tinnitus?

thanks for adding. Interesting enough I am on a low sugar diet myself to help with my grossly high Cholesterol because I was put on a Statin and bad things happened. Anyways, I was also in a bad state when I took mine. I had whopping cough, and it took almost 4 months to get rid of, and for at...

ah yes, Biaxin strikes again. Took it for 7 days, a year later its still around in force. I wish I knew about ototoxicity !

    Tinnitus from Biaxin (Antibiotic)

I had mine from exactly this mixed with pain killers for a period of 7 days (out of the 10 I suppose to take). Mines bad, and has probably gotten worse more than better. You'd be suprised what's ototoxic out there. Hell, any over the counter pain relief is also ototoxic too! Anyways, learn from...

Anyone Here on Crestor (Statin) Have Issues with Tinnitus?

So update, I've decided to stop taking it I started getting really bad dizzy spells along with gross level of nausea. It was like I was walking around 3 or 4 beers deep. Pressure on the top of my head and down around my ears (like headphones). To add, my T has spiked, not a little either...

Anyone Here on Crestor (Statin) Have Issues with Tinnitus?

Thanks for your input. I also believe that Statins are bad for you, but I also feel that I don't have much choice. The only other options that are available are the new injectable types like Rapatha (1x a month). They are inhibitors ... but not a ton of knowledge around long term effects since...
