    Tinnitus Since:
    04/2017
    Cause of Tinnitus:
    patulous ET, laryngopharyngeal reflux
Following a near fainting episode a few weeks after breast lumpectomy in March 2017 I've had unending tinnitus, vertigo, sinus pain/pressure, ear pain/pressure. I also started symptoms of lymphedema in my arm where lymph nodes were removed. The vertigo is slight, mostly when I turn my head too fast, raise my voice, or certain sounds. I have the sensation of a tight collar around my neck when I bend it or I'm sitting. If done too long my entire head feels like it's going to burst (like when you wind a string around your finger and it feels fat). I've seen ENT, neurologist, vestibular therapist, lymphedema therapist, Psychiatrist, general practitioner, and GYN. I've had a hysterectomy in Oct and gallbladder surgery in Dec. All through this the tinitus and ear/sinus symptoms persist. We've looked into just about every illness, blood work normal, MRI normal, CT normal. So now I'm being treated for the reflux with pantoprozole and just picked up busonide to add to nasal flushes twice a day. The doctors really don't have any idea what's going on. My theory is the silent reflux exacerbating the open eustachian tubes. Odd part is I had none of these symptoms prior to the lumpectomy in March. I'm at a loss and my doctor is now asking ME what I've researched.
