AdventHealth Research Institute Offers Phase II Clinical Trial of Etanercept for Treatment of Blast-Induced Tinnitus

I should have been more explicit. My tinnitus is from noise exposure, no question about that. I was simply pointing out that I had tinnitus both while taking Enbrel and after stopping it, and I noticed no changes in my tinnitus.

AdventHealth Research Institute Offers Phase II Clinical Trial of Etanercept for Treatment of Blast-Induced Tinnitus

My $0.02: I believe if this had a positive effect on tinnitus, we would know about it already. Enbrel has been on the market since the late 1990s with hundreds of thousands of users. Given the prevalence of tinnitus in the broader population, you would think the word would be out by now if there...

    Cilcare's CIL001 Targets Cochlear Synaptopathy — An American/French Collaboration

On the topic of drug delivery through the round window discussed earlier in this thread, this is pretty interesting: https://www.cilcare.com/2025/06/23/cilcare-launches-a-groundbreaking-3d-bioprinting-project-with-human-cells-to-advance-therapies-for-hearing-disorders/

Recommendations for Small Speakers with Built-In Balance Adjustment for Zoom Meetings?

I use a small, disc-shaped Jabra speaker with USB and Bluetooth. It sounds much better than the computer’s built-in speakers, providing a more mellow sound.

Thoughts from Veteran Tinnitus Sufferers About Ventilation Fans at Work?

I’ve recently had to deal with this situation—I have reactive tinnitus that worsens with continuous ambient noise. For example, when I’m driving or on a plane, I need to use earplugs. However, this creates the opposite problem, as the noise isolation also causes my tinnitus to ramp up. It’s...

New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

I would love to be wrong, but I do not think any weakening of the FDA will make much of a difference. I would love to see Lenire, with their fresh influx of funding, $10 million on top of the previous $33 million, license the technology from the University of Michigan for a next generation...

New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

I've put it out of my mind and won't be holding my breath—if it happens, it happens. Any of the other approaches discussed in other threads on Tinnitus Talk are likely to come to market sooner. Everything that could be discussed has already been covered, so we might as well close this thread...

I’ve Managed to Quieten Down My Tinnitus After 20 Years

I've got a Baratza, too. After many, many years of using a cheap spinning blade type, I don't know how I survived. It was one of my better kitchen appliance purchases — there's no going back!

Electrical Ear Canal Stimulation as a Therapeutic Approach for Tinnitus — A Proof of Concept Study

I've also been inquiring about this. The way they explained it to me, and I don't quite understand it fully, is that you don't need to suffer from migraines for it to work but that tinnitus involves some of the same pathways in the brain as migraines. Therefore, migraine drug treatments can...

New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

I wouldn't be surprised if Auricle were leveraging the expertise of their development/manufacturing partner who also provides FDA approval support, in2being. It would make sense for Auricle to use in2being given their familiarity with the details of the device and experience with the process...

Auditory Mirror Therapy for Treatment of Tinnitus

Admittedly, it's a sample size of one, but unfortunately, this didn't do anything for me. Maybe the weird sensation of sounds coming from the wrong direction could provide a distraction for people with mild/moderate tinnitus, but I'm not in that category. Anyway, not to take from the...

Noise-Induced Hearing Loss Alters KCC2 and GABA Inhibition in the Auditory Centers

Looking at their website, they've listed 25 potential disorders that their KCC2 development might address, but no mention of tinnitus :( Another case of off-label experimentation if it ever comes to market?

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

It's been a while since I worked on Bluetooth audio. Still, I do know many Bluetooth codecs are available, with different levels of audio quality and latency depending on the type of compression/decompression used. It's not so much the latency itself that matters (this can range from 30-200 ms)...
