    Could the Occlusion Effect from Earplugs and Earmuffs Be Damaging My Hearing?

    Yeah, I realize this. But even if I had received only half that amount, it still would have been within the NIOSH safety range. However, I recently came across a paper suggesting that these guidelines might not be sufficient. They also do not take tinnitus into account, only hearing loss.
