    Tinnitus Since:
    01/2008
    Cause of Tinnitus:
    Audio Mixing, Music, Firecrackers
I'm a computer guy by day, sitting in a VERY quiet office all day long. I like to work on music when I'm able to.

    Sound / Tinnitus History:

13-18 Played brass in school band
17-20 Played electric guitar somewhat frequently, not too loud, but did have a amp simulation / headphone box that probably did some damage.
20+ Attended concerts, almost always wore hearing protection.
20-23 Delivered pizza, listened to a fair amount of rock music at levels likely too high.
20-26 Recorded bands and mixed as a hobby. This probably did the most damage as I remember ears feeling tired and sometimes ringing after. A 'friend' fired a string of black-cat fireworks under my lawn chair during a party. Had ringing for a month + after that. Very pissed about it.
26 - Noticed permanent ringing while earplugs in.
26-40 Continued some production work solo, much less than before.
~30 Hearing tested and ears inspected with scope, nothing out of the ordinary.
30-40 Continued to have permanent ringing at a high pitch.
