SemperKeith

I am nearly 73 years old and I became aware of my tinnitus several years ago, back then, it was pretty much in the background and at night, it sounded like there was a stream with a 4' waterfall next to the house. Until a couple of days ago, it was pretty easy to ignore it, even when sleeping however, a couple of day ago, the volume really ramped up, doubled at least and I had a real difficult time sleeping. Then, it went back to "normal," now tonight, it's back. My sound is a continuous high frequency shhhhhhhh, both sides. I have lost about 40? of my high frequency hearing in my left ear I think, due to siren noise exposure over the 34 years I worked as a firefighter.
