    Cause of Tinnitus:
    chemical poisoning/benzos
    Greetings from Down Under. My association with Tinnitus happened back in 2000 when my health was badly affected by an upgrade to my home.That ended up with me collapsing and in ICU. I had previously had chemical sensitivity for a number of years and after this event I was diagnosed with CFS and had a breakdown. I was prescribed a benzodiazepine as I was unable to cope with any stress and also for the profound tinnitus which occured around the same time. I am now tapering from the benzo to see if that was/is part of what is causing the T.
    The experiment is not yet over for me. I look forward to sharing in this forum as much as I am able to as I am now going through withdrawal.
