    Tinnitus Since:
    11/2020
    Cause of Tinnitus:
    Unknown
I developed somatosensory pulsatile tinnitus in both ears on 11/2020 after a day of flu like symptoms. My tinnitus screams when I yawn, jut my jaw forward (but not side to side), turn my head to the right (but not to the left). It improves when I bite down and gets louder when I relax my jaw. I can quiet it by 80% if I press my skull hard under both ears. It even fluctuates while I’m walking. IT IS TERRIBLE and Relentless. The only way to quiet it would be to end it all. It’s much worse when the barometer drops and when it’s raining. Loud noises are painful. I have to plug my ears when I flush the industrial toilets we have at work (99dB).
It has ruined me. I’ve been to ENT 3 times... useless. I’ve tried acupuncture... useless.
I’m now on Lexapro for the terrible depression this has caused as well as amitriptyline at night so I can sleep.
