Ringing in Non-Tinnitus Ear Due to Ceramic Bowl Dropping — Should I Be Worried?

I checked and it doesn't feel like a pressure that could be caused by ETD or something. Yawning and the Valsalva maneuver doesn't do anything.

Ringing in Non-Tinnitus Ear Due to Ceramic Bowl Dropping — Should I Be Worried?

Hi everyone, A few hours ago, I was trying to fix my shower drain and about to collect screws in a ceramic cereal bowl when I accidentally dropped the bowl and it fell a few inches into the bottom of my bathtub. The bathtub itself has one of those sliding-glass doors attached. When it fell...

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

Unfortunately, that's pretty common for research technologists and research assistants. I just got my degree in biology and most laboratories, pharma or hospital labs, will pay around that if you just have a Bachelor's.

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

Sorry if this has been addressed already, but what would happen if someone with no hearing loss at lower frequencies received this treatment? Is there an "upper limit" on hair growth? Would this be useless for people with NIHL hearing loss notches, if other frequencies are unaffected?

    Pffffft

Apparently, they're even banning "adult" words and third-party themes, while also not banning porn bots or racist blogs. Killer job, Tumblr.

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

Honestly, looking through the material and lectures that Frequency Therapeutics has put out, it's really fascinating stuff. I hope something comes out of this soon, not just for me, but mainly for my dad. He's had severe tinnitus and hearing loss for most of his life (loud music + years in the...

Just Confused About Unilateral Tinnitus Cause

You're probably right, given the evidence. Still, part of me hopes it's somatic and can be fixed. But, I think putting stock in it just "going away one day" isn't the best idea for me. Constantly monitoring it, checking to see if it got quieter somehow...it's not a great way to live for the...

    What Is Your Favorite Hobby?

I love tabletop role-playing games! D&D, primarily. My high school friend got me into it when I was home from my freshman year in college. I then tried my hand at being the DM my junior year. I just graduated this May and I'm still with the same group. The worldbuilding, the writing, the...

Just Confused About Unilateral Tinnitus Cause

Hi Tinnitus Talk, I first developed unilateral tinnitus in my right ear in August of this year. I simply noticed it in a quiet room one night and it hasn’t left my side since. I was told a year ago that an audiogram indicated that I had minor hearing loss due to a pretty bad ear infection...

Hi Everyone! Three Months with Tinnitus and Confusion About Its Origin

Hi Tinnitus Talk, I’ve been dealing with mild unilateral tinnitus for nearly 3 months now. I first noticed it after jogging. I had heard of tinnitus, but I decided on the trip home to look up tinnitus and its symptoms. “Man” I thought to myself, “That would be really bad if I had that.”...
