    Pipeline Therapeutics

Yeah but from what i've heard the regeneration of outer hair cells is not sufficient enough to completely erase hearing loss. It regenerates only a few hair cells, the main purpose of this drug remains to regrow synapses.

Otonomy OTO-413 — Treatment of Hidden Hearing Loss

Oops, I forgot that spiral ganglion neurons remain active for decades in humans, so the synapse regeneration is possible whatever the date the noise trauma occured.

Otonomy OTO-413 — Treatment of Hidden Hearing Loss

They're talking about improvement when the subject gets injected OTO-413 the day following the noise trauma. So it doesn't work for people who got noise trauma years ago?

    Frequency Therapeutics — FX-345

If FX-345 could reach 20-4 kHz, then it's great, but aren't the hair cells responsible for speech frequencies below 1 kHz-2kHz?

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

I do think everyone experienced improvements. Severe hearing loss sufferers had great response because they have more inner ear hair cell death, so the hearing improvement can be easily seen unlike in other types of hearing loss.

    Frequency Therapeutics — FX-345

So FX-345 is exactly the same drug as FX-322 but goes deeper into the cochlea, am I right?

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

The new drug could be a FX-322 with improved delivery method, so it can reach the cochlea more profoundly or a completely new drug with new compounds, new delivery method (I hope nanoparticles) and which can reach the cochlea from the apex to the base.

Otonomy OTO-313 — Treatment of Tinnitus

I think that resolving tinnitus by restoring hearing function or indirectly by OTO-313 won't lead to silence for me. In my case I have spontaneous acoustic otoemissions in my healthy ear. In the other ear I have tinnitus and the sound difference is quite significant. Spontaneous acoustic...

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

Not sure but I do think that Otonomy gel can hit the cochlea from the apex to the base. I'm saying that because OTO-413 has recently proved clinically meaningful improvements in word recognition in noise. So basing on the fact that speech frequencies are almost at the base of the cochlea, I...

Otonomy OTO-6XX — Hair Cell Regeneration

I think it varies according to the company behind the product. I'm sure that they'll advance first OTO-413 and OTO-313 to get them to the market and after moving OTO-6XX to clinical trials. They'll have more data to successfully develop OTO-6XX.

When will the trial results be released?

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

Why wouldn't FX-322 work on people with mild hearing loss? I don't get it because we know that the hair cell architecture is more intact in this degree. Therefore there should be more support cells and FX-322 would work at its best.

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

If Frequency Therapeutics doesn't work on reformulation and deeper penetration, I don't see how it could be successful.

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

Absolutely nothing is known about OTO-6XX. They did say that they are going to claim any information when they'll have an update to provide about the current pre-clinical tests. I won't be surprised if this is after OTO-413 results in mid-2022. I think that OTO-6XX will move to clinical trials...

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

If I take the example of a teacher explaining a lesson to his students in a large auditorium, assuming that all students have excellent hearing, the teacher will still need a microphone to properly interact with the whole room. This is what I want to explain. A minimum amount of amplification...
