VEMP test was 97db in 1 minute. This vestibular audiologist told me that decibel level cant do damage unless exposed to it for a long time.
Why did you gey a vemp test?
Ent wanted me to do it. My T was initially in one ear, so she thought it was something more serious. Hearing exam was beyond perfect for both ears, so audiologist/ENT talked about it being a more serious disease, turned out I was right and it was NIHL from loud noise
, eventually T spread into the right ear. my audiologist told me that the drop in hearing 20db is due to my stress. I will change him and get a new audiologist. Going Sep 18 for another hearing exam and DPOAE.
Oh I thought this was a new vemp test. What is DPOAE?
Otoacoustic emmisions test which detect hearing loss. OHC are fine in R ear but are damaged in left ear, outer cochlea hair cells. After January 15 I never recovered.
