Was you T started by feeling stressed out?

I was going through a stressfull period and realized I was clenching my teeth during sleep. This caused my TMJ to become inflammed.

Also, I wonder what large % of T goes away.. i have seen so many stats.. a few weeks to 2-3 months... But after that its most likely going to stay... however some ppls T went after 6+months.

I was wondering the first time you had T, back in 2012 do you remember the cause? Did it totally disappear or just reduce in noise? I just wonder because i was under stress for 6 weeks.. lack of sleep, eating , and extreme stress. before this sudden onset of my T. I hope this isn't permanent. I wonder if stressed induced tinnitus goes away once hormones levels (cortisol reduce) if ever

My T started in early Spring 2012 and lasted only about 6 weeks or so. It was a mild buzzing sound, didn't lose sleep, it resolved, I dismissed it as being a one time incident and moved on with my life. Fast forward to 2014 to about the same time, after a two week upper respiratory sinus infection from allergies, plus stress, poor sleep and a tired immune system, I got T again but a lot louder and I became very distressed. It's been 18 weeks now and it has subsided to some degree
