Have a huge distrust of medical people atm. They keep prescribing drugs that are known to exacerbate tinnitus.

Having a stand off with my Rheumatologist because I point blank refuse to take hydroxychloroquine. She thinks in comparison to pain tinnitus should be a breeze
I had to tell her that it's the worst of all my ailments and should be taken more seriously.
Slowly calms down and walks away to put Ian Brown in for the third (and final) time...

Tinnitus is an eye-opener in just how much medical experts DON'T know.
My only advice is to keep searching until you eventually find yourself a GP/Rheumatologist etc. that is open-minded and understanding.
Through some stroke of luck I've had two (GPs) who did.

So just back and I am completely deflated. Said it's probably something to do with lupus but we can't be sure. Referred for mri scan and told my pulsatile tinnitus is just a symptom of hearing loss....
I don't know what these doctors are smoking, but I want some of it too.
