God hates everyone with T, so I think it's men too...

Yup! Truly drew the short straw didn’t we.
@LostinTX I have gone through two chemically induced menopauses. Once you get through the sweaty/hot flush stage, it’s okay - but, it can take a few years.

Yep, you got that right! Especially so meaningless when you dont even want to produce kids. All that suffering for absolute no reason.

@Steph1710 Like I told my Dr...I thought there might be an alarm or something going off to alert me to this, right? Then I'm sitting wondering was that T? LOL My periods started to miss after being like clockwork 32 years and then just said sayonara! last Nov. Just started the sweats past month or so and it's brutal :(

@LostinTX I’ve suffered my whole teenage/adult life with terrible periods & hormone issues. I know how uncomfortable the menopause can make you feel. The restlessness at night - and my goodness! I remember sleeping out of the covers, with the windows open in February when it was snowing outside! I was SO hot! I’m sure you are aware, but hormones/periods seem to really affect tinnitus.

Yep! I was getting good sleep at least 5-6 straight and now I'm back waking up every 3 hours. I even took 1/2 of my emergency klonipin and barely did it either. When my sleep was this bad last year my 12 yr old son said I looked like a mummy/half dead :'(

Has the menopause impacted your T? Or is it just the combination of both that’s unbearable? Unlike @Steph1710, my period doesn’t impact my T at all. Hoping this is a good thing in the long run.

Definitely pulled the short straw here, period, babies, breast feeding, and contraceptives (the bane of my life!).

Just got the copper IUD fitted, and oh my god, the pain is unreal. Male contraceptives are well over due.

@makeyourownluck when I was getting my periods last year, yes it would get louder. Thankfully, I don't think menopause is impacting the T but it IS giving me more insomnia on top of it which is really breaking me! T has gradually been getting lower but I started out super severe. I didn't know everyone that gets it doesn't hear over the freeway and blaring inside stores etc. It was insane.

@LostinTX insomnia on top of T insomnia sounds rough. I hope it all resolves quickly. I am not looking forward to going through it.

As far as the TV goes. Someone here suggested playing white noise on a speaker at the same time as watching TV. This tip has made it possible for me to enjoy films again. Almost like tricking my brain.
