I paused my studies last year and had to turn down my dream job. At the time I couldn't even stand next to a boiling kettle etc. I'm afraid to go back to that.
Now with September looming I have to decide if I'll rejoin the course (minus the years experience).
Just scared the job will make my ears worse. What's the point continuing if I can't get a job at the end of it.

I am retraining (originally in engineering), so I am self funding this course. If I could just avoid construction sites that would be great. I doubt the underlings get to pick their projects though.
