Agreed. The assurance is not worth the worsening.

Thank you for your response. For now tinnitus didnt settle down to previous baseline and I doubt it ever will. However medication helps me to handle it. Still sometimes panic attack wakes me up at night.
My tinnitus is very high pitched (around 13kHz) so its more difficult for me to ignore it or mask it.

Sorry to hear there hasn't (yet) been any reduction @Mark_Caswell; improvements in tinnitus and hyperacusis can however, take a very long time to be seen (talking months and years), so there is still hope.

In the unlikely case you see no physical improvement, ability to adapt and cope better with it (and relapses) over time, is usually a given.

Hello Damocles. Tinnitus is still very loud. I hear it over most sounds but Im making small progress. However one thing troubles me and that is sudden fleeting tinnitus with feeling of very muffled ears. Its weird sensation and it come and goes in matter of minutes. Do you have any idea what it might be?

Also tinnitus drastically changes in pitch and some tones go away completely but only for duration of this weird ,,thing´´.

I have to waint months for any specialist for tinnitus in my country. So Im little bit scared if it could be emergency. I get fleeting tinnitus several times a day but this muffled ear thing is new. It feels like sudden loss of hearing.

Also some weak dull pain is present sometimes in ear.
