Don't miss the opportunity to attend Tinnitus Quest's online Q&A with Dr. Susan Shore and Jon Pearson, CEO of Auricle on October 13. We will hear the latest about the Susan Shore Device.
On the hottest day of the year in London @twa, I ate one small bar of dark chocolate; within ten minutes felt like I was on the deck of a cruise ship. Whole world was going from one side to the other.
@Damocles you actually attempted to eat a bar of chocolate..I couldn't even think about food. I drank 15 pints of water (no joke) and was still dehydrated - food was the last thing on my mind - especially chocolate! You sick puppy. XD <3
Two things:
1. High temperatures cause me little to no discomfort (Mediterranean ancestry).
2. My favourite chocolate is melted chocolate! I want that sugar, hot, sweaty, and stuck to the wrapper.
But I gotta admit, in 41 degree heat, that dark chocolate hit me hard.
@Damocles I LOVE the heat! The hotter, the better. I'm like a lizard. BUT, I was working outside doing hard manual labour for those two days, and I was SO thirsty! I drink over 3l a day normally, so working in that heat had me drinking like I never had before lol.
And as for chocolate, I like mine hard and refrigerated. I hate it even at room temperature.
Never happened before in normal temperatures.
The heat definitely has a lot to answer for.
