Don't miss the opportunity to attend Tinnitus Quest's online Q&A with Dr. Susan Shore and Jon Pearson, CEO of Auricle on October 13. We will hear the latest about the Susan Shore Device.
I'm sorry to hear about your osteoarthritus. If you have the time, you might want to read up a little on methylsulfonylmethane (MSM). A friend recommended it for an unrelated issue and after a couple of weeks I noticed a lessening of my joint pain.
It took me a while to connect the MSM to my improved health but once I did and knew what I was looking for, I came across many reports saying the exact same thing.
It's not a cure-all but maybe it can help to make your pain a little more bearable as well.
Thanks Leila. I will certainly take a look at that. I am hoping it is not osteoarthritis (have not been diagnosed as such) and maybe something else like some temporary local inflammation which will resolve. I have been doing various exercises and it is better the last couple of days but there is an issue there.
Since I started taking MSM because I was told it would allow for a more restful sleep, I only took two teaspoons mixed in with some juice before bedtime.
I'm not sure about the exact amount your body will be able to use over the course of a day. But I read that if you ingest too much MSM your body will simply excrete it via urination.
Ah you have it in powder form. OK. I have seen capsules and powder. I will try some. My knee has been better the last few days. Not sure if it is OA but there is an issue there. I am eating gelatin too as have read it can be good.
I didn't get the capsules because they were ridiculously expensive compares to 1kg of the loose stuff. But that might be different where you live. It looks a lot like sugar and dissolves in the same way. It has a little aftertaste but when mixed with juice you won't taste it much.
