It's truly unfortunate that sometimes when we need the support of our loves ones most, we are instead met with harsh judgement &/or what seems like a lack of understanding & empathy (& sometimes with what seems like a complete lack of this). It's so very painful, & sadly I'm far from a stranger to this experience.

I really feel your pain. Pls remember that your responses make perfect sense in light of what you've been & are going through; acoustic trauma/shock & the onset & experience of tinnitus can be really traumatic experiences, & I bet the vast majority of us here (if not all) can relate to you (or could in the past).
