Hi Matthew. My hearing got worse in my left ear by 5 dB. It was 30-35 dB before the gunshots. Audiogram showed it was close to -40 dB almost 3 weeks after shooting. For all i know my hearing could be back to my normal baseline by now (8 months since onset of tinnitus).

I am doing pretty well. The panic feelings and insomnia have gone away. That happened about 3 months ago, thank God! I have been diligent about wearing earplugs in loud restaurants, along noisy streets when I go for walks...I have not gone to any bars or concerts.

I am getting better, slowly but surely. My tinnitus has gotten quieter, and my psychological despair has lessened also. I'm obviously not 100% at peace with this yet, but I truly believe that I will be one day. Hope and prayer are powerful things that have seen me thru some very dark times in my life.

How are you doing? Have you noticed any improvements in your hearing? Has your tinnitus gotten any better/quieter? Do you have any ear pain?

Wow I'm glad to hear that you have been improving, this also gives me hope. When I first tested hearing after gunshots it was 55dB drop, 6 weeks later I tested at 30dB drop

Insomnia is basically gone for me, exercise has been helping a ton, and meditational prayer. I live my life as normal as I can. I really don't use ear plugs ever even in noisy places.
