I attempted suicide twice, and was in three different in-patient hospitals, hoping praying for a cure, and now I'm the latter. A cure would be cool especially if things get worse 5-10 years from now, but at the moment it's whatever.

Yes, it's that "getting worse" that always has to be a concern. I had tinnitus over 20 years, but it was just 2 years ago it suddenly elevated turning my life upside down. I didn't do much to protect my ears prior to that.
