Do you have it in many-hour episodes, like triggered by yawns, hiccups, stretching? Does it stop when you close the ear with your finger or wearing an earplug/earmuff?

@DimLeb My version of it is a pretty constant rumble/vibration in quiet, I can hear and physically feel it, like a car idling. It stops when another sound is heard, but comes back more aggravated once that sound goes away. Like if I talk, as I talk it stops, but once I stop talking it comes right back. I can also calm it/stop it with a finger in the ear. It is at its worst after driving.

I had that rumble last time for about 6 months @ErikaS It faded out. The less space I gave it, eventually, the less my mind focused on it. That, along with keeping on with life and get stress and anxiety under control, was the most important factors.

Thank you so much for the encouragement as always, @MindOverMatter ! This may be a rhetorical question, but did you find that progress over the 6 months was not linear? I find if I am stricter with staying home, in quiet, very much limiting "life" such as driving and noises it may start to calm, but the more I engage with life, it flares…
