  • Hey Sonia. Have you a link for the community Facebook page, please ? I would like to read it.

How are things right now ? Your battling skills are very important for me and my recovery. I really do hope you feel in a better place.

So you're still super early in. I bet you make a full recovery, especially since it appeared after an ear infection. I'd be willing to bet you heal before I do.

It's always the mental state, isn't it? Even at the times I can't hear it, I'm still anxious and tense, because I know it's lurking. I'm in my mid-40s and just trying to imagine another 30 years with this because of 15 minutes in a furnace room. Seems like an unfair punishment.

Your words are ALWAYS so encouraging. You would genuinely make for a superb therapist. I really cannot emphasize that enough !!! I feel calm again, which helps eleviate everything I'm experiencing, including the sound.

Yes, the mental side is so much more destructive. The phantom noise plays second fiddle.

Since we are restricted to how much we can post on profiles, would you mind me posting on the 'furnace' thread you created, please ?

Please understand, I don't for one second not think about your own situation! As you say yourself, this has been your biggest challenge ever. You are combining this with helping others at the same time, and that is testament to what you are clearly all about. You battle, you persevere, and you are helping others along the way!

    Thank you so much.
Just wanted to reach out and say that your posts are bringing me massive calm. Thank you 🙏

Sending happiness and tranquility vibes. We got this !!! 👊

Thank you Sonia. Both links are certainly full of optimism for sure.

May I ask, how would you describe your situation regarding tinnitus before this happened ? I read one of your posts describing how you'd lurk here sometimes even without that last encounter.

I really do appreciate you. Thank you!

Before this happened, I had very mild tinnitus in my left ear. My right ear had always been silent. I have no idea what caused the original tinnitus in my left ear, but I've had it for as long as I can remember. Most of the time, I only noticed it in quiet rooms and it never bothered me. I just accepted it as something that was there and once my attention was diverted, I didn't notice it at all. I never even noticed it trying to get to sleep at night.
