    It's your risk to take and your decision to make. Only you can understand the limits of your tinnitus toleration. Only you can know if the enjoyment of listening and exposing to sound is worth the tinnitus tax you may need to pay. It's an awful choice.

    No, not without my open earbud that rests in my earlobe. With it, I can stop the hum by playing a constant low-frequency sound on Spotify while still hearing the TV. Without it, it sounds like Morse code, with the hum filling the gaps between the characters speaking.
