Should I Change My Future Plans for the Military Because of Tinnitus?

If I were you I would make other plans. Is your tinnitus noise induced? If it is, the military would be a really bad idea.

Home Office Approval Because of Tinnitus

I would suggest discussing it with someone in charge. Get an ENT note and go for it.

Should I Mention Tinnitus to New Employer?

My general answer would be that you have a hear disability. The scope of the disability should be in line with the level of intrusion. I wouldn't make a big deal out of it either, but be aware that you might need a Ear Doctor to confirm if there are any other issues. If the intrusion is minor...

Noise-Induced Tinnitus and Flights, Tips for Flying?

The Bose headphones are the best, but pricey - worth it for me. If you travel a couple of times a year i recommend you get them. Bose QuietComfort 25 over the ear Noise Cancelling Headphones. It really reduces the engine hum to nothing. Combined with the ear plugs and you can fly 20 hours with...

14 Months... Has Anyone Had Relief Take a Long Time? (Not Just Habituation)

Hi: I have had Tinnitus for quite some time, but about 14 months ago I went to an outdoor networking event and didn't wear my earplugs. As a result my tinnitus has gotten worse. It is really sensitive to motors and every time I spent time outside I have a day or 2 of increased noise. 15 years...

Having a Relapse and Could Use Straight Talk

Having a Relapse and Could Use Straight Talk

I have had my ears checked. This is definitely noise induced. I am also stressed out about my job and just tired of everything. I keep hoping time will heal it a bit, but at the moment I am feeling helpless and really down. I am trying to find some level of peace, but its seems much worse today.

Having a Relapse and Could Use Straight Talk

Anyone and all: I originally got tinnitus in 1999 from a concert. I resolve quite a bit back the as I was 40 and it was manageable. Roughly 4.5 months ago I attended a cocktail party and didn't wear my earplugs. I will admit it was a nit loud, but i figured it was outside and I would be OK...
