    Never, ever 'dig' into your ears with anything. There is a saying, 'Never put anything in your ears except your elbow'. Poking with cotton buds, hair grips, or similar could push the wax further in or perforate your ear drum. See your GP if you need your lugs cleaning. Best wishes, Grace.
