I'm 23 and I just got tinnitus. My advice is relax and be smart. Avoid concerts and try to find a good ent. I cried a lot when I first got tinnitus. I haven't cried recently. I have hearing loss in my left ear. My doctor tells me it won't get worse. I believe him but I'm still scared all the...
I've had T and I still do most things. I don't really watch movies as much as I used to but I don't mind going out. As long as it isn't a club I'm not that worried
I believe a cure will happen one day so I do think it will go away. I've had it for 3 months now and I'll assume I'll have it until a cure. But some days are better
I've had mine for 3 months. It's daily with me. Some days I believe it's gone. Some days I feel it getting stronger. tinnitus is scary but I'm doing my best to stay positive.
Don't give up! My father had tinnitus at a very young age, 12/13, and he ended up doing fine. Tinnitus isn't fun, hearing loss isn't fun, but it's about living life to the fullest despite the setbacks
My ent said wearing ear plugs for overly long or for things that don't need it may make your reaction to sounds weaken. So like if you wear ear plugs all the day your ear naturally adjusts. I've considered never wearing ear plugs but I'm still afraid of large theaters. Seeing a smaller film in a...
Every time I use ear plugs they get a little dirty with some wax. I've never re used ear plugs but I'm thinking of getting some -20dbs and just re using it for when I go to the movies or go to bars
How do you clean them? Or are my ears just too waxy? If so how do you all clean your ears...
Idk it's weird but I would rate it a 5 when I first got it but now it's anywhere between a 2-4. And after flying in a loud plane with no plugs it didn't spike, but I've been very safe. Some would say too safe but I wanna protect my ears for the long run.
My family has a history of this. My...
I used to do it with no fears. I don't let my T stopped me from doing most things. I still go to bars (though I try to avoid loud ones). I haven't gone to the movies in forever and maybe a fear with that is T, but I do almost everything exactly the same. I wouldn't dream of ever going to a...
I still have decent hearing in my left ear and great hearing in my right. I have tinnitus in my left ear but sometimes at night (especially when my sinuses act up) I fear I hear ringing in my right ear.
Does anyone else fear this? How do I stop worrying?
The good news is after about 6 weeks...
Yeah true. It wasn't really the doctor it was the hearing test lady. I don't need headphones. Just would be nice. Thanks for the honesty guys.
I'll read on planes from now on
I fly a lot and I love podcasts. I recently developed tinnitus and I want to still be able to hear podcasts. My doctor told me I shouldn't worry about earbuds
So I guess I wanna ask, are there certain headphones I can get? I plan on keeping the volume low and only use it in planes.
Should I...
This only started happening last week and I went to an ent doctor. They said it was brought by sudden hearing loss to my left ear. I love watching movies. It's my favorite thing. Now I'm wondering if I should go to the theater again or what to do to preserve my hearing. I also fly a lot. my dad...
