I was also habituating and healing after months and then used a hair dryer for 15 minutes and am having the worst spike now for the last 4 days. I...
Yes, I hear you Gordon. Mine is the same ultra-shrill tone. I agree, it is like it was specifically designed for torture. I am almost 8 weeks into...

@Hammers has this improved for you? I have the same issue. @Capstan has your reactive tinnitus improved?
Thank you so much for the encouragement Stu. I am nearly 6 weeks in with no improvements and am having a tough time.
Yes! I have exactly this. I can’t even listen to music without it sounding tinny/metallic. Is there any chance this will improve?

Bump. I am 35 days out and wondering if this would still help.

@HarryLDN How are you now?
I just read parts of this thread and it’s really good! I would like to re-ignite it. Was the last post really in December?
Ok interesting. I am worried since I didn’t have any positive changes in the first month. In fact, I had a spike at the 4 week mark where it got...
That’s so good. I have to ask you too if you did the course of Prednisone right after?
Really good to know. I have read your story and it gives me hope. Did you take Prednisone?
That is so good to know. I’m so worried that I will never heal because I missed the boat with Prednisone.
Hi Makrohn-can I ask you what your genetic hearing loss is? I have one copy of the GJB2 gene mutation, also called Connexin 26. I often wonder if...

@Aaron44126 So glad you’ve habituated. Thanks for coming back with update. Do/did you only hear yours in a quiet room or do you hear it over all...
@Bill Bauer I don’t blame you there at all! I’m the same way. I’m pretty sure that’s why there aren’t more success stories too.
Yes @Bill Bauer. I’m definitely wearing ear plugs when I go out now. Wish I had begun day 1, but can’t look back. @Thuan Sorry you also experience...
Thanks @Tanni and @Bill Bauer. Appreciate the feedback and encouragement.
I really wish it hadn’t spiked up 4 days ago. I was adjusting a tiny bit, then it got so much louder after that girl screamed at the pool.
@Tanni I was actually adjusting to it a tiny bit until Saturday morning when it spiked up. Still at same level now and I slept 6 hours last night....
@Bill Bauer oh wow. So sorry. You’ve had it awhile now. Is it still bothering you to that level? All I can pray for is that I’ll adjust to this...

@Poseidon65 Did you take prednisone right after?
I feel like my only chance was if I could’ve tolerated the Prednisone. Now it’s been a month and so is likely here to stay. :(
