There's a chance that it'll go away especially when you're young. I got my first round of T from a concert in my mid-20s and it went away- completely, absolute silence for 10ish years. It was an unrelated series of unfortunate events that led to my current T.

@Eric N it took my friend 14+ days after symptoms subsided to fully recover her taste. I lost partial taste and it took a few days to come back. I didn't actually realized it and thought it was just Covid being an asshole. I shocked my tastebuds when I ate spicy food and it almost all came back...

20 years ago, 15, 10, 5, and even now, the answer was always 'maybe in 10 years'. I'll probably be dead before we have an actual cure. lol.

I have to go every 6 months and no effect on my T. There is also retina imaging which is a 360 scan of your retina. Pretty sure almost all the eye docs have it. You can probably opt for that, if that is an option.

I wonder as well. Tho I heard it was just glass that cut his ear. I'll consider him redeemed in my eyes if he find us a cure for T.

You can use the silicone ones. The ones that don't go into the ear canal.

I don't want to wear ear plugs everywhere as well. It also hurts if I wear it too long lol. Fuck either way.

This is how I feel. Everyday is pretending to be fine. Never ending pretending with strangers, friends, family, at work. Everyday people asking why aren't you doing X, why aren't you going to Y, you think I have the freedom and privilege to do so?!!?

I been told doing charity is a way to release karma. I always thought T was my punishment for not following the typical life path and not from my karma I somehow collected.

I read that having T increases probability of having dementia. If that is the case, I wouldn't mind it. Maybe we can go faster than waiting thousand decades with T.

the people around me think the same. they think it's like a brief few seconds of annoyance and everything is back to normal. They think we are all freaking out over nothing vs their issue (that is more important than T) that is easily fixed/managed by meds.

This is mine as well. Freedom was what T took from me and I wouldn't want to be buried feet under. I actually rather get thrown into the ocean. No need to cremate.

not sure about other countries but US only really cares about profit. just a massive scam. they want us to remain sick so we keep paying them and in return they feed us with crap to keep us sick x repeat.

I used to take care of my other health issues but since T, I have given up to give F about it. I think I'll be relieved if I was told I have whatever terminal and have a couple of months to live. I wouldn't feel stressed or anxious about it. I would host a massive party to celebrate lol.
