    Sound Pharmaceuticals (SPI-5557 & SPI-1005)

Since causes of chronic tinnitus are so varied, I think it'll help a subset of sufferers. Regardless, I'm going to try it out whenever it's released.

    Sound Pharmaceuticals (SPI-5557 & SPI-1005)

The point I'm trying to make is that the more beneficial SPI-1005 proves to be for COVID-19 and COVID-19 symptoms, the faster and more likely it'll be released. I literally want Sound Pharmaceuticals to strike while the iron's hot. We both want the same thing.

Their current COVID-19 Phase 2 trials seem to focus more on non-vestibular symptoms of COVID-19, oxygen, and oxygen saturation. They haven't updated their Phase 2 trial pages since November which lists the trials as ending in April 2021. SPI-1005 Treatment in Moderate COVID-19 Patients I'll...

    Sound Pharmaceuticals (SPI-5557 & SPI-1005)

With the recent review from the University of Manchester identifying a possible association with COVID-19 and long haul COVID-19 causing/exacerbating hearing loss, tinnitus, and vertigo, I feel like it'd be a great opportunity for Sound Pharmaceuticals to trial SPI-1005 in treating these...

They actually are recruiting at some of the trial sites according to Jonathan Kil at Sound Pharmaceuticals. I believe the Michigan test site completed recruitment according to some of the other members here. If there's a test site you're interested in, I would reach out to Sound Pharmaceuticals...

    Sound Pharmaceuticals (SPI-5557 & SPI-1005)

Got a reply from Sound Pharmaceuticals that they've already begun recruiting at some sites but didn't specify which. They asked for my location so I can probably find out if UCSF is recruiting.

I shot them an email about it. I inquired a few months ago about their COVID-19 trials and got no response so who knows if they'll actually get back to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Did we ever figure out why they haven't advanced to Phase 3 for NIHL? It's been 6 years since their Phase 2 ended and in their press release, they reported positive results from it.

I feel you on this. I live right by UCSF and would love to participate, but I don't have Meniere's.

Sound Pharmaceutical's Phase 3 clinical trial for Meniere's Disease will start next month. They will be looking at TFI as a secondary outcome measure. SPI-1005 for the Treatment of Meniere's Disease (STOPMD-3)

It's frustrating. I wish we could get something now to at least tide us over until we have more comprehensive treatments.

    Sound Pharmaceuticals (SPI-5557 & SPI-1005)

Sound Pharmaceuticals modified the estimated start and completion dates for their two Phase 2 COVID-19 clinical trials from August and December 2020 to December 2020 and April 2021, respectively. That's a bit unfortunate, but hopefully they can still use these trials to expedite getting SPI-1005...

    Sound Pharmaceuticals (SPI-5557 & SPI-1005)

Apologize for the backtracking but looking over the press release for their Phase 2b Meniere's trial, they only cover the primary outcome results for safety, PTA, and word recognition. Has there been any mention elsewhere about what the results were for TFI and loudness as those were also...

    Sound Pharmaceuticals (SPI-5557 & SPI-1005)

Since they're trialing SPI-1005 for moderate and severe COVID-19 cases, it's pretty much as expedited as it can be. Would be great to get it out ASAP for off label use.
