Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for Tinnitus — Experiences (Dr. Wilden, etc.)

Do you think there's a time limit on when this is effective? My understanding about this study (correct me if I'm wrong) is that the laser was used fairly rapidly after the damage was created. Is there any reason to think it would (or would not) still be effective months or years later?

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for Tinnitus — Experiences (Dr. Wilden, etc.)

Hi, so, I'm also in the DC area and I know at least one functional medicine provider who does laser stuff here. I don't think there are really any legal obstacles to this; it was not hard for me to try a laser treatment for my ears. Note that I am very, very much in the "skeptic" camp on this...

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for Tinnitus — Experiences (Dr. Wilden, etc.)

I've got one of these sitting on my desk; should I point it into my ear? I'm pretty sure it'll be able to penetrate into the cochlea, given that it can burn holes in masonite. http://www.wickedlasers.com/arctic

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for Tinnitus — Experiences (Dr. Wilden, etc.)

It does seem that a number of people report spikes -- and I myself had two terrifyingly loud spikes both times I experimented with IR LED LLLT using a device which in theory shouldn't even be able to penetrate the outer ear. Take that as you will; I personally do not think it's reasonable to...

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for Tinnitus — Experiences (Dr. Wilden, etc.)

Yes, thanks a lot for the detailed summary! It turns out I had you confused with someone else; the post I was thinking of is here: https://www.tinnitustalk.com/threads/regeneration-of-the-cochlea-notch-inhibition-lllt-—-a-theoretical-approach.8418/#post-98073 I guess the theory there is that...

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for Tinnitus — Experiences (Dr. Wilden, etc.)

Hi, I believe you're the same person who mentioned the low cost IR devices a few pages ago, right? Could you do me a favor and sum up for me the steps I might want to follow, if I am interested in experimenting with this technology at a low cost point? Specifically, what kind of IR light I might...

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for Tinnitus — Experiences (Dr. Wilden, etc.)

This sets off alarm bells for me because it's the epitome of something which is not fact based and therefore is not possible to prove or disprove. I see. Does she have a bunch of peer reviewed research backing this up, specifically with regards to human cilia cells?
