Noise
Dear friends of Tinnitus Talk - after another very noisy NYE, yet another year of noise for all of us, as the rest of the world enjoys its peace and quiet, and remains totally oblivious to our plight.

However, at least we have the opportunity to come on here, express our heartache, look for and find understanding, support and affection from other sufferers

We will find much else besides - ranting and raving, disagreement, bickering, and occasional abuse, but we will obviously gravitate towards those with a like mind, whose experiences touch our hearts, as we touch theirs.

To all of those members, I need you to know that I value you all so much.
I love you guys

You're absolutely right
@Jazzer i can't keep up with all your threads mate. You're like an expensive Egyptian cotton bedspread. :p

You're absolutely right Bam.
I'm still on this bleedin' boat you see.
No pussycats with me.
You lot are all merely 'stand ins'.....

Is someone taking care of your cats while you're away and are they sending you pictures? I bet the cats miss you!

Folks - no internet left.
I can answer you tomorrow when I'm in New York.

We are all sharing this nightmare, some worse than others. I can feel myself slowly dying. Dont let people downplay this.

Is most definitely a problem halved! Thank you all for being there, for your love, support and most importantly UNDERSTANDING! It's crucial x

You better get back to England soon, Jazzer. Otherwise, I'm trying to get @Bam! a job at ATA, but he doesn't think he's opinionated enough about tinnitus to qualify.

Hey, I just realized when you're in NY we'll be in the same time zone.

Did you wear any hearing protection? Was it enough to prevent a spike?

My noise is constant - no real spikes.
The fog horn didn't bother me Bill.
The shows in the theatre are far too loud though, like all public performance music these days.
Either use ear plugs - or bugger off !!

Dave how loud are the cabins on cruiser ship?
Is there any low frequency noise?

Sorry Valeri - last post to you got screwed up.
Cabins are nice and quiet.
Cunard ships are generally quite peaceful, but I would never go on a 'party ship cruise!'
Celebrity etc.....!

@Jazzer, you or someone else posts funny cartoons and I can't find a suitable thread, but since this is a (Happy) New Year thread (and the importance of others on the journey)...

They are in a Cattery TC - Catcatraz !!

We tried that once with the real tuxedo cat, her name was Kitty Rachel. She put up such a fuss they let her be out in the office with the people. Boy she could wrap anyone around her little finger! She adopted my son and his housemates when he was at university. When my son graduated and went into the army, I brought her home to live with my husband and I- that's when we learned Kitty ate pizza!

Lovely story TC xx

No engine noise or some low frequency vibration at all?

Perhaps it depends on where your cabin is on the ship.
You could ask to be well away from the engines.
All I can hear is just an air conditioning very slight sound.
Cunard are nice quiet ships.
For god sake avoid all 'party' ships Valeri.
